is FTP?
The process by which files are transferred from your
local computer to our web server is called "FTP"
(File Transfer Protocol).
How
do I upload my site to your servers?
There are many ways depending on
your computer system, that you can transfer files to
your account directory. You have unlimited access via
FTP 24 hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain
your web pages on your own computer and upload files
to your web site at your leisure.
Where
can I download an FTP client?
There are many FTP programs available
for free download. Below are some of the most commonly
used. Once you have downloaded and installed any of
these three please follow the instructions below for
the configuration.

do I configure my FTP client?

follow the step-by-step instructions for the configuration.

General settings for all FTP programs
All FTP programs basically require
the same information to be configured correctly. If
you are not using any of the three programs that we
have provided instructions for, you can configure
your software by completing the fields below within
your program. Information for all the fields below
will be provided to you
by our tech support team shortly after you purchase
a hosting plan.

How do I publish using Frontpage?
1) Open your website in FrontPage
2) Select from the menu, -> File
-> Publish Web...
3) A window will pop up asking you for
your publish destination. Type
the name of your website, like http://www.yourdomainname/.
Click "OK"
4) Enter your FrontPage User Name and
Password that was supplied to you
when the website was created. Click "OK"
5) A window will pop up asking for confirmation
and showing you the
details of which pages will be updated when it is
published. Click
"Publish" to confirm.
If successful, you should see a pop
up window that says "Web site
published successfully!" and you can then view
your published web site
by clicking the link.
When will I be able to start
uploading my website?
You will receive an email from
support providing you the necessary information to
begin uploading your site to our servers within 10
minutes after your order is placed. This way
you can build and test your website before the registration
or transfer is completed.
Do I have unlimited access
to update my pages?
Yes. You can edit your website
any time day or night.
Where do I upload my web site files?
Once you have connected to our
servers via your FTP program, you can then upload
your web site files. All html files and image files
must be uploaded to the /htdocs
directory. Once in this directory you can create subdirectories
as needed. All cgi related scripts must be uploaded
to the /cgi-bin
directory. You can upload any .htaccess "password"
files and similar data not intended for public view
into the /etc
directory.
What do I name my homepage?
Please name your home page index.html
in order to overwrite the 'Under Construction Page'
that we created for you when you signed up.
