How long does it take to setup a new account?
Begin publishing your site within 10 minutes! Your account will immediately be setup and you will receive an email with upload instructions within 10 minutes after your order is placed (does not include Ecommerce acounts). If you are registering a new domain name, please allow 1 to 2 days to complete your registration. Our hostmaster will contact you via email when your registration is complete.

I just signed up for a new hosting account, but I do not see my domain name.
When you initially set up your hosting account, your domain name will
appear temporarily as:

yourdomainname.atlashosting.com

You will receive instructions after you sign up for the hosting account that includes your FTP or SiteStudio login information. You can use this login to publish a copy of your website even before the registration or transfer completes.

Can you explain what the different passwords are used for that I received with my new hosting account?
The password you choose when you signed up for your account is the password that allows you to log into your account control panel at http://www.atlashosting.com/login.html. If you forget this password, you can have it emailed to the account contact by choosing the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page.

If you purchased a hosting account, you will also have an FTP, FrontPage, or SiteStudio username and password to publish your website content. This username and password is also used to access your website statistics.

Each email account you have will also have it's own password assigned to it when the email account was created through your control panel. If you forget this password, you can reset it through the control panel.

I just signed up for a hosting account and set up an email account, but it's not working. What do I do?
When you initially sign up for your hosting account, it generally takes about 24 to 48 hours for the domain name and the associated email addresses to become fully activated and functional. For more information on email support, go to http://www.atlashosting.com/support/email.html.

Primary Server IP Address: 66.203.93.72
Secondary Server Hostname: ns2.atlashosting.com

When will I be able to start uploading my website?
You will receive an email from support providing you the necessary information to begin uploading your site to our servers within 10 minutes after your order is placed.

Do I have unlimited access to update my pages?
Yes. You can edit your website any time day or night.

Where do I upload my web site files?

Once you have connected to our servers via your FTP program, you can then upload your web site files. All html files and image files must be uploaded to the /htdocs directory. Once in this directory you can create subdirectories as needed. All cgi related scripts must be uploaded to the /cgi-bin directory. You can upload any .htaccess "password" files and similar data not intended for public view into the /etc directory.

What do I name my homepage?
Please name your home page index.html in order to overwrite the 'Under Construction Page' that we created for you when you signed up.
