How do I choose a domain name?
You want a name that is easy to remember and can be
typed easily. Try to think of a name that describes
your site, company, products and services. Although
you can register a name with up to 63 characters,
the general rule of thumb is, keep it under seven
characters if possible. (Not including the suffix
.com, .net, .org, .biz, .info and .us)..

You must check the availability of a domain name first

What is domain name registration?
Domain name registration is the process of leasing a
domain name for a set number of years. Once you register
a domain name you become the owner of the name as long
as you renew the registration for it each year. For
example, a domain name is the 'yourcompany' part of
www.yourcompany.com. This is the address for your future
website. Atlas Hosting can register your domain name
for as little as $14.99 a year. Click

will be waived with the purchase of any hosting

registration for free, in your name, as long as you

Do you support Frontpage Extensions?
Yes. We support Frontpage 2002. If you would like
your account to be set up to use Frontpage Extensions,
simply login to your control panel and request it
under the website options area. You can also email
us to request it as well.

Our server facility has over 2.5 Gigs of Internet connectivity
via DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48 and Gigabit Ethernet connections
to a wide variety of peer points and transit providers.
The circuits are terminated in our facility on carrier
class, Cisco Systems 6509, 7500 and 12000 routers. We
carefully monitor our network and make sure our servers
have enough bandwidth that they will not exceed online
capacity during peak Internet traffic times.

FreeBSD (Unix).
Is Atlas Hosting a Reseller?
NO. We own all of our equipment and servers and we are
