Adding a new account in Outlook 2002
- Start Outlook 2002.
• If this is your first time starting Outlook, the "Outlook 2002 Startup Wizard" will guide you through the setup. Choose "Next >", then "Next >" again to get to the "Add New E-mail Account" window, then skip to Step 4 of this tutorial
- Choose E-mail Accounts from the Tools menu.
- Select Add a new e-mail account
- Select "POP3", then click "Next >"
- Refer to the confirmation email you received from Atlas Hosting to fill in all the required settings, then click "More Settings ..."
- Select the "Outgoing Server" tab, then check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication", and select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
- Select the "Advanced" tab, then change "Outgoing server (SMTP):" to 587, then click "OK", then click "Next >"
- Outlook 2002 is now ready to use with your new email account. Click Finish to exit the setup wizard
