Setting Up Spam Filtering With Outlook

Choose Rules Wizard from the Tools menu. The Rules Wizard window will open.




Choose New to create a new Rule.



Select 'Start from a blank rule'. Leave 'Check messages when they arrive' highlighted and then hit Next



Check the box 'with specific words in the subject'.
Next
click on 'specific word' in the rule description (pictured below - red arrow)




Type in ***SPAM*** exactly as pictured below.
Click on the 'Add' button
Click on the 'OK' button.



Check the 'move it to the specified folder' box
Click on 'specified' (red arrow below)




Select 'Personal Folders' and click ' New'



Name your personal folder 'SPAM'

The Rules Wizard will show you your new folder in a pop-up box. Now select 'OK' on that window to close it.



Now that your rules and personal folder is created, Keep clicking the 'Next' button till you get to the last window pictured below.

Click Finish




Select your new rule (pictured below) and click 'OK'

From now on all email labeled ***SPAM*** will now go to the 'Spam' folder you have just created.
