How To Upload Your Site To Our Servers

There are many ways depending on your computer system, that you can transfer files to your account directory. The process by which files are transferred to the web server is called "FTP" (File Transfer Protocol). You have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.

General Settings For All FTP Programs
All FTP programs basically require the same information to be configured correctly. If you are not using any of the three programs that we have provided instructions for, you can configure your software by completing the fields below within your program. Information for all the fields below will be provided to you by our tech support team shortly after you purchase a hosting plan.

Where To Upload Your Files
Once you have connected to our servers via your FTP program, you can then upload your web site files. All html files and images must be uploaded to the htdocs directory. Once in this directory you can create subdirectories as needed. All cgi related scripts must be uploaded to the cgi-bin directory.

What To Name Your Home Page
Please name your home page index.html in order to overwrite the "Under Construction" Page that we created for you when you signed up.
